us for a trekking expedition in the Himalaya
Every year in May-June we trek to the source of the holy Ganges and
beyond; to ancient villages and herder settlements, to
remote Hindu temples, chanting swamis and holy men in
caves, and finally to a pass crossing which brings us
into the wilderness of remote glacial valleys surrounded
by snow-clad peaks.
More than just a trek
The three-week expedition combines trekking and exploring the culture
and environment of a remote area with visits to high-altitude
climbing camp sites and rock climbing for those who so
wish. The crossing of the snow-clad, remote and rarely
traversed Bali pass at 5,000 m will be the mountaineering
high-point of the expedition.
